We know your photos and personal memories are some of the most sensitive content you own, so we built Uvel with privacy baked into every feature from day one. No confusing fine print, no hidden data collection, no unnecessary access to your personal files.
Core Privacy Promise: 99% of your activity on Uvel never leaves your device. We never access, store or view your personal photos, edited albums, preset choices, AI-generated soundtracks or playback preference settings unless you voluntarily choose to share these with us for support requests or feature feedback.
What Information We *Do* Collect (It's Very Little)
We only collect the absolute minimum information needed to keep Uvel running smoothly and support you when you reach out:
- Optional Anonymous Performance Data: You can choose to opt in to share non-identifiable app usage data (including crash logs, feature load times and general feature usage frequency) to help us fix bugs and optimize Uvel for all users. This data is never linked to your identity or personal content, and you can turn off this sharing at any time in your device settings.
- Information You Voluntarily Provide: If you email us to report a bug, request support or share feedback, you may choose to share your contact information (like your email address) and any relevant attachments (like a screenshot of an issue, or a sample of your album to show a feature request). We only keep this information for as long as we need to resolve your request.
How We Use Your Information
We never use your data for any purposes outside of making Uvel better for you:
- Anonymous performance data is used exclusively to fix technical issues, optimize existing features (including our preset library, AI soundtrack generator and playback modes) and prioritize new feature development
- Contact information you share with us is only used to reply to your request, we will never send you unsolicited marketing messages or share your contact details with third parties
- Any content you voluntarily share with us for feedback purposes is only used to improve our product, and will never be used for commercial purposes or shared publicly without your explicit written permission
Data Sharing & Disclosure
We will never sell, rent or trade any of your personal information or content to third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. The only very limited situations where we may share information are:
- You explicitly give us written permission to share a specific piece of your content
- We are required to do so by valid, applicable legal processes to protect the safety of our users, our team or the general public
Your Full Control Over Your Data
Since almost all of your content is stored locally on your device, you have full ownership and control over all your Uvel creations:
- All original photos, edited albums, AI soundtracks, 3D album wall arrangements and project files are saved directly to your device by default. You can edit, delete or share these at any time, no need to request access or permission from us
- If you have previously shared personal information or content with us, you can send us an email at any time to request we permanently delete all records of your request and associated content, and we will complete this process within 7 business days
- You can toggle optional anonymous performance data sharing on or off at any time through your device app settings
Policy Updates
We may update this privacy policy occasionally as we add new features to Uvel. If we make any material changes that impact how we handle your data, we will post a prominent in-app notification before the updated policy takes effect, so you have time to review the changes. Your continued use of Uvel after the updated policy goes into effect means you agree to the revised terms.
